Product Manager   job# 0800928

Description

This person will take the lead with product management, product enhancement, product positioning, and competitive analysis of our product line.

The responsibilities of this position will include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the product lifecycle of the advertising platform including definition, design, launch and maintenance phases
  • Collect and analyze data to influence feature prioritization decisions and product roadmaps
  • Develop specific near term product plans and longer term product milestones that deliver on the overall business objectives
  • Initialize and prioritize projects within engineering and marketing; track product development and develop product launch plans.

Qualifications

The position requires the ability to understand and analyze a technical product – serving as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams in the company. Superior analysis, writing and communication skills are essential. Strong project management skills are also required.
  • 4+ years related experience – project management and product marketing
  • Experience in parcel shipping or carriers such as UPS, FedEx, DHL or USPS is a plus

MS-SQL Database Administrator   job# 0801478

Summary of Position

The DBA will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and enhancements to our core 24 x 7 OLTP production database. The DBA will also perform similar functions on related development and support databases.

Essential Duties

  • Responsible for database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and full-time availability of our core SQL Server 2000 and 2005 databases (a production 24x7 environment).
  • Development (design and implementation) of our next generation replication architecture for scale up and out.
  • Specifications and configuration recommendations of hardware for all database systems.
  • Similar duties for our development, testing, and staging databases.
  • Maintenance/enhancement/tuning of all backup, disaster recovery and failover of the database.
  • Administer, maintain, develop and recommend policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the company’s databases and systems
  • Create and maintain database schemas for all databases.
  • Identify and resolve database performance issues, database capacity issues and data distribution issues.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years as SQL Server DBA
  • Large OLTP databases with very high transaction volume
  • Large scale storage options – DAS, SAN, NAS
  • Maintaining high-availability systems in a 24x7x365 E-commerce environment
  • Backup & Recovery, Security, Performance monitoring and tuning
  • SQL Server Log shipping, Replication and Clustering
  • Mission critical systems and appropriate business practices to ensure smooth, uninterrupted operations

Manage the execution of the activities relating to the US Postal Service relationship and the teams associated with growing the parcel volume and number of customers in the parcel shipping space using Endicia products and services.
