About Selecting Fonts
The following guidelines offer tips for changing the font of your layout in DAZzle:
- By default, DAZzle prints shipping labels with the City, State, and ZIP Code line of the delivery address in larger and in bold. You can enable or disable this feature or manually edit the delivery address.
- If you are printing from the Design tab, double-click the item that you want to change. When the Edit dialog box appears, click the Fonts button. In most cases, you can change the font or font size for the address and return address as well as for optional items such as text boxes and rubber stamps.
- If you are using one of our special layouts that is built around a USPS form, such as a Priority Mail Express layout or a layout that incorporates a customs form, changes to the font or font size may have no effect. These layouts are set to fit the forms.
- If you are printing from the Quick Label tab, you cannot change the font or font size. The Quick Label tab has simplified the printing process by making common design choices for you. Print from the Design tab if you want to customize your label.
- For the delivery address, the USPS prefers that you use a sans serif font (such as Arial) with a minimum 8-point size.
- For Text Boxes:
- The font selection can be different for each of the first ten lines. Any lines over the tenth line use the same font characteristics as the tenth line.
- To set the same font for the entire Text Box, select text in all lines—which is the default selection—and then select the font.
- To set the font for a single line, either select text in one line only or place the cursor in the line (with no text selected) and then click the Fonts button.
- The high-speed printing option does not support the choices of font, font style, color, or effect.
