You can automatically send addresses, address barcodes, or both to the Clipboard for use in other applications, including US domestic delivery address verification through Dial-A-ZIP.
When you use Dial-A-ZIP, you can automatically send the results data to the Clipboard that you can paste into another application. You can choose to always copy to the Clipboard the address, the address barcode, or both.
- Important! If you select both the Always copy address to Clipboard and the Always copy barcode to Clipboard check boxes, both the address and the barcode will be in the Clipboard. However, because most applications paste only one of the two items in the Clipboard, it may be more straightforward to select only one of the check boxes for automatic copying and use the Edit > Copy Barcode menu command to copy the barcode when desired.
Choices in the Sending to Clipboard area include:
- Always copy address to Clipboard: The Always copy address to Clipboard option automatically copies all Dial-A-ZIP address results to the Clipboard so that you can paste the results into another application. For example, if you are writing a letter and want to verify the US domestic delivery address in the letter with Dial-A-ZIP:
- Copy the address to the Clipboard.
- Open DAZzle to run Dial-A-ZIP.
Switch to your word processor.
When the Dial-A-ZIP is done, you can paste the corrected address back to your letter by using the Paste command.
- Always copy barcode to Clipboard: The Always copy barcode to Clipboard option automatically copies the address barcode for the current address to the Clipboard each time you enter a new address (or obtained from the Clipboard). After the barcode is in the Clipboard, you can paste the barcode into another application that supports images. This choice automates the Edit > Copy Barcode command.
