A barcode scanner can save time and reduce mistakes. Scanners are readily available. One common type of scanner is the "wedge" scanner.
Most scanners can be configured to add an Enter key to the end of the scanned characters. This enables Endicia Professional to display the address as soon as the barcode is scanned. Endicia Professional also has a print command shortcut: scanning the word PRINT into the Order Number field is the same as clicking the Print button. As a convenience, place a barcode of PRINT at your shipping workstation so the shipper can keep the scanner in hand, minimizing keyboard or mouse use.
