Create a SCAN Form
The Shipment Confirmation Acceptance Notice (SCAN) form consolidates a day's trackable shipments onto a barcoded form that the USPS representative scans when the USPS physically accepts your daily shipments. The SCAN form eliminates the need for the USPS to scan each shipping label, which could otherwise amount to dozens, hundreds, or thousands of separate scans. When you print a SCAN form, use one of the following approaches:
- Manually selected items in the Postage Log. You might want to manually select items by originating ZIP Codes, Group Codes, or eligible tracking numbers, for example. Begin with Step 1.
- All printed items with eligible tracking numbers. Select this option if you ship from only one location when you use your Endicia account. Begin with Step 2.
- All printed items with the originating ZIP Code or Group Code. Select this option if you ship from more than one location. Use either ZIP Code or Group Code. Begin with Step 2.
- Important! You should process any refund requests before printing the SCAN Form.
Steps
- If you are selecting items on the Postage Log tab, select the shipments you want to include in the SCAN form.

Select Tools > SCAN Form.
- In the SCAN Form dialog box, select or enter which printed items you are including:
- Selected items in the Postage Log.
- All printed items with eligible tracking numbers.
- All printed items with the originating ZIP Code or Group Code or both.
- Click Print SCAN Form.
