Guidelines: Return and Delivery Addresses for International Mailpieces
According to USPS postal regulations, be aware of the regulations regarding international delivery addresses:
- Destination address: The addressee's full legal name (meaning the name that corresponds to the addressee's government-issued identification—such as the addressee's first name, middle initial (if applicable), and last name) and complete address must appear legibly. For parcels, addresses should also appear on a separate slip enclosed in the parcel.
- Return address: A complete return address must include the sender's full legal name—see USPS: Addressing Foreign Mail—and complete return address. The full legal name may not include initials except where initials are an adopted trade name.
