About Endicia Global Service Shipments
EGS packages have the following shipping segments:
- Endicia Professional creates the USPS shipping label to a third-party international shipping company in the United States.
- Upon receipt of the package, the third-party international shipping company:
- Inspects and organizes the package.
- Verifies whether customs duties and taxes have already been paid or if they need to contact the recipient to collect payment for customs duties and taxes in advance of shipment.
- The third-party international shipping company:
- Prepares the shipping label to the destination country.
- Sends the package to the destination country, where customs processes the packages and then transfers the packages to postal authorities for delivery.
- For tracking, you use the Endicia Tracking Number to track the international shipment at http://www.endicia.com/auth. (The USPS does not have tracking visibility to the EGS international segment.)
