About Profiles
Profiles are named sets of preferences and settings that you create and use in Endicia Professional. Each new profile that you create inherits the settings of the current, active, open profile. The use of profiles is optional.
Each set of preferences and settings includes:
- Everything that you specify on the Preferences tabs.
- Everything that you specify on the Batch Print Grid Preferences window—show or hide columns and service defaults.
- Everything that you specify on the Domestic and International Label Layout tabs.
- The most recent settings that you used, such as the selected mail class or the selection of Stealth Postage.
- The selected Order Lookup, Batch Print, Customs Forms, and Post-Back data maps.
- The specific integrated web store (such as eBay or Amazon), if any. If you are using more than one integrated web store, you must set up a profile for each web store.
If you are using Endicia Professional with more than one data source, for example, you can maintain different sets of preference and layout settings by creating new profiles for each data source. You can also manage multiple profiles and data source connections.
The installation of Endicia Professional includes a default profile called Profile 1.
