ACH filter FAQs

1.What are ACH filters?

ACH stands for Automated Clearing House and is an electronic network for financial transactions in the United States. ACH filters provide an allowable ACH Co ID for payment generated by merchants like Endicia to debit a customer's bank account for things like service fees, insurance and add-on services, on an on-going basis. The ACH filters act as a barrier against unauthorized withdrawals from your account.

2.What happens if I don't add an ACH filter?

If you do not add an ACH debit filter to your account, Endicia will not be able to access funds for the services you have agreed to pay via ACH debit. As a result you risk being unable to print postage, you also risk incurring ACH return charges and additional associated penalties. Click here for information on updating ACH filters.

3.Can I have more than one ACH filter?

Yes. You can have multiple ACH filters.

4.What is the Endicia ACH filter?

ACH Processing Company Name = ENDICIA

5.What if I have credit card on file for payment? What do I have to do?

You do not need to make any changes if you are using a credit card to pay for postage, service fees, insurance and/or add-on services. You only need to take action if you want to use ACH to pay for any of these services.
