Help with the Help

Use the tabs and toolbar buttons to help you find the information that you need.

Tabs

To navigate and find information in the Help, select a navigation tab on the left-side navigation panel to change your view of accessing the Help content.

The following navigation tabs provide different means of helping you find the information that you need:

Contents:

Navigate the Contents panel by expanding the book icons and selecting topics.

Index:

Enter a keyword in the Search field or navigate the Index panel and select the key word.

Search Help Project :

On the Search Help Project panel, enter search criteria and click Search to locate matching terms throughout the entire Help project. To find an exact match, enclose your search criteria in double quotes. Matching terms appear in highlighted colors after you select a topic. For advanced searches, see Apply Boolean Operators to Searches.

• Tip: To search for terms within a displayed topic, use your browser's Find feature. which is usually Ctrl-F or Edit > Find

Toolbar Buttons

The toolbar buttons can help you navigate and view content:

• The Back button lets you navigate to topics that you had visited.
• The Forward button lets you navigate from topics that you had visited.
• The Refresh button re-displays the current topic.
• The Stop button causes activities, such as rendering pages or performing searches, to stop.
• The Home button displays the Welcome page.
• The Contents button displays the Table of Contents in the left-side navigation panel.
• The Index button displays the Index panel in the left-side navigation panel.
• The Search button lets you search the entire Help project by words that you enter.
  • Tip! Refine your search by using Boolean operators.
• The Remove Search Highlighting button clears the color highlighting that you get when you perform searches.
• The Print Topic button prints the displayed topic.
• The Collapse All button closes all expanded or drop-down text of the displayed topic.
• The Expand All button opens all expanded or drop-down text of the displayed topic.
• The Hide Navigation or Show Navigation button alternates the display of the left-side navigation panel.
