USPS has informed us that they will be performing Web Tools database maintenance on September 17, 2017. This maintenance will result in an API outage affecting all secure/HTTPS requests for a period of 3 hours.
What this means for you.
During the 3-hour maintenance period, 7:00PM - 10:00PM ET, you may receive the following standard error message response when attempting to use USPS services: “USPS Web Tools APIs are currently not available due to scheduled maintenance until 10:00pm EDT. Please retry after maintenance has been completed.”
Endicia expects some basic label printing functionality to be available during this time; however, electronic customs receipt will most likely not be available along with USPS tools such as Package Tracking, Hold for Pickup, Open and Distribute, Commercial Package Intercept, Carrier Package Pickup and Schedule Redelivery among others. Please plan accordingly.
