About Layouts

A layout is a design template for printing labels.

A layout describes the:

Design of your envelope, label, or flyer.
Media or paper type and size.
Return address and delivery address.
Barcodes and postage insignia.
Graphics, images, and text.

DAZzle includes several defined layouts for a variety of mail classes, label sizes, and printer types. You can also design your own layouts from scratch, and you can customize layouts, too.

At your option, DAZzle can automatically use the recommended layout based on your shipment type, or you can manually select the layout. Shipment types include mail class, delivery address (domestic, international, APO/FPO, US territory), package type, printer selection, and paper selection.

You access layouts through the Design tab. You can modify and save modified layouts using the same or different file names.

DAZzle uses layouts to print to a variety of media types. Media types include:

Adhesive-backed shipping labels, perhaps the most popular type, which you attach to your parcel.
Plain-paper shipping labels, which you attach to your parcel or insert into special types of envelopes.
Envelopes, on which the layout is printed directly.
Flyers, on which the layout is printed directly.
