Getting Started: Design Your Mailpiece Label
DAZzle includes several mailpiece label layouts, which you can use without making changes.
You can optionally customize your own mailpiece label layouts on the Design tab. By designing your own layout you can use:
- Use specific-size envelopes, labels, flyers, or your own "user-defined" layout.
- Place images and messages on the layout.
- Note: Customized layouts are not compatible with the Quick Label tab. That is, you must print customized layouts through the Design tab, instead.
Steps
- Select the Design tab.
- Choose the type of mailpiece: Select Layout > Media.
- Enter your return address: Select Layout > Return Address.
- Enter the delivery address: Select Layout > Delivery Address.
- Optional: Choose barcode options: Select Layout > Barcode.
- Optional: Add images: Select Insert > Graphic.
- Optional: Add text using either:
- Rubber Stamps: Select Insert > Rubber Stamp. What is a Rubber Stamp? ...MORE A Rubber Stamp is one line only, up to 300 characters, in any font, in any rotation, and with a number of formatting options. You can also link the text that appears in a Rubber Stamp from an address list field or other fields. For more information, see About Rubber Stamps.
- Text Boxes: Select Insert > Text Box. What is a Text Box? ...MORE A Text Box is similar to a Rubber Stamp, but unlike the Rubber Stamp, the Text Box allows multiple lines of text (up to 1000 characters), in any font, but without any rotation. For more information, see Add Text Using a Text Box.
- Optional: Choose postage options: Select Postage > Options.
- Optional, but highly recommended: Avoid wasting postage: Perform a Test Print before printing with live postage.
- Print your mailpiece label: Click the Print button.
