Edit Customs Information Through Batch Print
From either the Order Lookup tab or the Batch Print tab, you can access the customs declaration form to view, edit, or add quantity, description, weight, value, and country of origin for up to 1000 line items. You can also optionally save the customs information or choose to have the first line automatically be completed.
- Note: Based on shipping parameters, Endicia Professional automatically selects the correct customs form as well as the correct number of pages, and regardless of the form or label size, you can have up to 1000 line items.
From the Order Lookup tab, you can access the customs information form when you print a shipping label to an international; APO, DPO, or FPO; or US Territory address.
From the Batch Print tab, after you retrieve shipping order information, you can access the customs information form, which the following steps describe.
Steps
- From the Batch Print tab, click the Customs link on the row of the mail item.
- Tip! The Customs link is under the Customs Editor column. You might need to scroll the Batch Print listing left or right to see the Customs Editor column.
The Customs Information window appears.
- Select save options:
- Use saved customs information: MOREThis option uses the saved quantity, description, HS Tariff #, weight, value, and country of origin for up to five lines. If this option is enabled, and the order record does not already have any customs data, the fields on the dialog box will be automatically populated with the saved data. A user who is always shipping the same package contents might use this option to avoid having to type in the data each time.
- Auto-fill line 1 description, weight and value: MORE This option obtains the description from the package Description field on the main form, as well as the package weight and value. Another labor saver.
- Edit or add Package Contents information:
- Select a cell to edit or add the contents.
- Press the Tab key to move from cell to cell on the same row.
- Double-click the HS Tarriff # field to open the lookup dialog box.
- In the Content Type area, select one or more check boxes, such as Commercial Sample, Dangerous Goods, Documents, Gift, Humanitarian Donations, Merchandise, Returned Goods, or Other. If you select Other, enter the Content Type in the field that follows.
- Note: The Content Type field on the label accepts up to 120 characters, including any selected check boxes and the Other field. Any text over 120 characters will not be printed on the label.

Optional: If required, in the AES, ITN, Exemption Group area, select NOEEI 30.37(a), NOEEI 30.37(h), or Other.
If you select Other, enter the information in the field that follows.
AES refers to Automated Export System. ITN refers to Internal Transaction Number.

Select Non-Deliverable Instructions.
Non-Deliverable choices include:
- Return to sender: MORE Default selection: Default selection: If the mailpiece cannot be delivered to the original delivery address, return the mailpiece to the sender. Unless you select the Priority Mail Express International class of mail, you might be charged for return postage. Unless you use the Priority Mail Express International class of mail, you might be charged for return postage.
- Treat as abandoned: MORE If the mailpiece cannot be delivered to the original delivery address, do not deliver the mailpiece or return to sender.
- Forward to: MORE If the mailpiece cannot be delivered to the original delivery address, then deliver the mailpiece to an alternate address. You can only redirect within the same country for a non-delivery.
Click the Edit Address button.
Important! You must complete the Address fields.

Optional: Select the Print sender's copy check box to print an extra copy of the form without postage.
- In the I Certify that the particulars given in this customs declaration are correct name field, do one of the following:
- Leave the field blank to manually sign the printed customs form.
- Enter your name to use an electronic signature label.

Optional: Click the Additional Information button to enter License Number, Certificate Number, Invoice Number, Sender's Customs Reference, Importer's Customs Reference, or Comments.
- Optional: Click Save Options. This action saves the quantity, description, weight, value, and country of origin for up to five lines. MORE If this option is enabled, and the order record does not already have any customs data, the fields on the dialog box will be automatically populated with the saved data. You might use this if you are always shipping the same thing to a customer, for example, to avoid having to type in the data each time.
- To print the customs form and postage, click OK.
